Eight Romanian agencies and 13 entries on shortlist, at European Excellence Awards 2010

On European Excellence Awards 2010 shortlist, Leo Burnett Group Romania has the biggest number of shortlisted works, five, submitted in competition by Leo Burnett Romania and The Practice.

All the Leo Burnett Romania‘s shortlisted works are part from campaigns the agency did for OMV Petrom Romania. This way, the Energy Section, Leo Burnett Romania is shortlisted with “Rediscover Romania”, being also present in Corporate advertising category with “Christmas Wishes” and in Corporate Film & Video with “My Story in Petrom”.

At its turn, The Practice is present on the shortlist with 2 campaigns: “European of the Year” for Reader’s Digest in the  Entertainment & Culture category and “Charge Your Batteries with Varta” in the regional competition including campaigns covering Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Graffiti Public Relations is also present on competition’s shortlist. The agency entered in the competition for this year’s prizes with “Family Story” for Renault Romania in Automobile & Transport category and with the Digital Zoo campaign ran for Bucharest Zoo, in the Entertainment & Culture category.

GMP Public Relations goes to finals with “The Anti-Hugh Jackman Campaign” for Pepsi Lipton International, in Food and Beverages category, and with “The Day When an Entire City Recycles” for Apa Nova Bucharest, in Ecology & Environment competition.

“The Humanitarian Labyrinth”, realized by Lowe PR for European Commission DG ECHO , entered the shortlist in  Government Agencies & Parties category, while “Talents on Board!” realized by Image PR for Coca-Cola HBC Romania was shortlisted in  HR Communication section.

Also, in the regional competition of the campaign covering Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina there were also shortlisted McCann PR Romania with FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour for Coca-Cola Romania and Grayling Romania with” Tackling Shadow Economy in Romania Through Card Payments” for
Visa Europe.

In this year’s edition of European Excellence Awards, Romania is represented in the jury presided by Marc Voight, Editor in Chied of Communication Director magazine, and Florence Ranson, Senior Adviser PR & Communication European Banking Federation by Catalina Stan, President and CEO BDR Associates Romania.

Catalina Stan is a Senior Member of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA) and Director of Superbrands Romania since 2005. She previously worked as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte & Touche.

The jury that will awards the shortlisted works includes a series of reknown specialists in PR and communication.
