MTI might produce news programmes for public radio and TV in Hungary

A draft media law presented in Hungarian Parliament on Monday stipulates that MTI, the Hungarian News Agency, will have the task to produce news programs for public radio and the 2 public service TV broadcasters, according to Politics.hu

According to the same bill, MTI will operate the uniform news portal and other internet sites of public service media providers. Also, MTI will continue to publish news reports, photos, data, background materials, graphic charts and data for documentation about events of public interest in Hungary and abroad, guaranteeing access to all news and reports which allows the public to enforce its collective and individual rights and interests.
