Yahoo will launch, in March, Yahoo.ro, localizing in the same time the email service, according to Mihai Fanache, manager MediaCafe, that sales advertising on Yahoo sites in Romania.
According to Wall-Street.ro, Yahoo.ro will be a light version of the American homepage Yahoo.com and will include, initially, news aggregated from multiple sources, mainly news agencies.
According to Fanache, the website will be similar to the ones Yahoo has n Norway, Sweden, Turkey or Netherlands.
Launching the Romanians site and the localized version for the email, Yahoo gets in competition with Google, that just opened a Romanian subsidiary.
The 1st to announce the Romanianization of Yahoo was Orlando Nicoara, General Manager of Apropo Media, one of the most important media sales house in Romania.
