Rogalski-Grigoriu and The Practice, awarded at European Excellence Awards

Two Romanian agencies won accolades at this year’s edition of European Excellence Awards: The Practice and Rogalski-Grigoriu PR. The awards were handed to the winners during a Gala that took place in Amsterdam.

The Practice got yet another prize for “Crazy About Computers”, the 4th, after Silver Award at Romanian PR Award, Gold Sabre at EMEA Sabre Awards and Global Sabre at Global Sabre Awards.

Also, the same agency had the biggest number of entries on competition’s shortlist – “Crazy about computers (Stefanini TechTeam”) in HR Communication, “Transparency is Gold” (Roșia Montană Gold Corporation) in Issues and Reputation Management and “Hand over the helm” (Carpatcement Holding) in Change Communication.

According to an agency press release, 2011 meant for The Practice, competitions wise, 28 shortlisted works and 11 prizes in communication competitions, for 13 different campaigns

At its turn, Rogalski Grigoriu PR got an award at European Excellence Awards in Science and Education category, for “Victoria 20.20” project, a campaign for Siemens Romania. Victoria 20.20 was double awarded at Romanian PR Awards and put on the public agenda a difficult suject but important: durable development.

The European Excellence accolades received by Victoria 20.20 come after, at the end of October, the same campaign won a Golden PR Award in Media Relations and a Silver PR Award at Romanian PR Awards 2011.

Victoria 20.20 confirmed its value also in an international competition, as European Excellence Awards is, in Science and Education category, earning this way its 3rd trophy, respectively one of the 2 trophies Romania brought home. I want to thank Siemens Romania for believing in out idea all the time and for supporting us in a hard category at European Excellence Awards, where we competed against some campaigns known at international level, such as the promotion of the particle accelerator construction experiment

Victoria 20.20 is a campaign inspired by the smallest Romanian town. Its situation was presented previously in an HBO documentary. Rogalski Grigoriu PR conceived a campaign that provoked young people to imagine a scenary for the future of Victoria, that would become the most modern Romanian Town, applying sustainable development technologies developed by Siemens. The urban competition attracted 28 teams, 140 students and 28 projects that entered the competition.

European Excellence Awards was, in 2011, at its 5th edition and awarded the best campaigns in 57 categories of public relations. The international jury, that included 34 specialists, evaluated over 1,300 entries, from which designated the finalists and the winners.

Romania entered in competition’s final this year with over 10 shortlisted campaigns and took home 2 prizes.
