Cristina Staiculescu, appointed Senior Manager Corporate Communications at Vodafone Romania

Vodafone Romania announced that, starting April 14, Cristina Staiculescu joins the company and takes over the position of Senior Manager, Corporate Communications.

Cristina has 12 years of experience in communication and in coordinating jobs. She will manage Vodafone’s activities of PR and external communication and will help consolidate the reputation of the brand and of the company on the Romanian market, both via traditional and via digital media channels. She will also manage the communication for company’s corporate responsibility activities.

Cristina comes to Vodafone from Citi Romania, where she was Communications Director since 2008. While at Citi, she was responsible for internal and external communication, media relations and CSR projects.

Before Citi, Cristina was, for 5 years, Director for Communication and International Relations at Romanian state TV TVR and she was in charge of consolidating institution’s reputation through efficient communication. In this role, she coordinated complex projects, such are TVR’s rebranding, the communication for the 50 years anniversary since TVR’s launch, communication for Eurovision and for “Cerbul De Aur” (Golden Stag – n.r.) Festival and others.

Cristina has graduated with licence Law and International Relations and holds a master degree in Communication and PR. She is also trainer Process Communication Model.

By joining Vodafone, Cristina takes over the position previously occupied by Lidia Solomon for 13 years. Solomon joined Vodafone Romania in July 2001 and occupied multiple positions over time, mainly covering communication with media, internal communication, brand and marketing PR and CSR. After leaving Vodafone, Solomon took over the position of Marketing Communications Leader, Europe & North Africa at Honeywell.
