Mihai Trandafir to represent Romania in the shortlist jury for the Cannes Lions Media

Mihai Trandafir, Managing Director UM Romania, was selected to represent Romania in the shortlist jury for the Cannes Lions Media category.

Among the proposed jurors for the media category were also Dana Bulat and Sebastian Olar, both having distinctions in creative media. However, Mihai Trandafir is the dean of the performances in the field. His expertise is relevant in the finalists’ selection process

Mihai Trandafir has over 18 years of experience in the media and an impressive record: his team won the Agency of the Year in 2016 at Media Global, with 7 golds, one silver, one bronze and a Grand Prix for The best campaign in 2016. UM Romania was the winner of the “Media Plan of the Year” competition initiated by AdAge and thus become part of the Internationalist Hall of Fame in 2016. In 2015 UM was the media agency of the year at Eurobest.  Over the years, at Cannes they won silver and bronze.

Mihai is also involved in the industry organisations, being vicepresident al ARMA (2003-2011), member of BRAT Boards (2007) and IAA (from 2013). As juror for the shortlist of media campaigns, during the month of May, he evaluated hundreds of media entries.

Today she delivers creative thinking trainings all over the world, is an activist for the role of women in the Creative Industries via #LadiesFirst and is remaining a fervent promoter of local creativity through Love and Lobby, the private diplomacy platform.
