Cresta Awards 26th edition is open for entries

Ads, Creativity, Festivals & Awards

Cresta Awards, which honor an absolute standard of creative excellence in international advertising and marketing communications since 1993, has issued the call for entries in its 26th worldwide competition.

Cresta Awards is pleased to announce its selection for 2018 Jury President, Ms. Gigi Lee, Chief Creative Officer, TBWA\Group Malaysia.  Ms. Lee’s career started with a ‘You had me at Helvetica’ moment. Her foundation in art and design led her from one account to another, with bigger and greater responsibilities each time. Some of the brands she’s handled include Tiger Beer, Guinness, P&G, Toyota, Lexus, Colgate, Campbell’s, KFC, ASTRO Broadcasting, and more. In her first 3 years as ECD, she won Best of Show and Agency of the Year at the Kancils. She was named World’s 12th best ECD by The Big Won; and One of Asia’s Top 10 Creatives by Adobo Magazine. As well, she took home heavy metal at ANDYs, ADC, Adfest, Cannes, Clio, D&AD, LIAA, NYFest, and One Show. You can also check out her work in Germany’s M&K Museum’s permanent collection. At TBWA, she has been tasked to drive the creative output across all clients within the Malaysian outfit: TBWA\Creative Juice and TBWA\Digital Arts Network. Of course, it takes a strong team to make a real difference, and she is glad to be part of one.

All entries will be screened by several worldwide juries, who will compile a short-list of finalists that will be submitted to an International Grand Jury of expert creative directors, film specialists and graphic artists.  Short-listed interactive entries will be judged by a separate Grand Jury of interactive experts.  Work will be judged on originality of the creative idea and quality of its execution (except in the Crafts & Design competitions where only execution quality is taken into consideration).

Of the eight Grand Prix’s which were awarded in 2017, taking the honors in the Ambient Media, Branded Entertainment, Outdoor and Promotions & Incentives competitions was McCann New York for its “Fearless Girl” campaign for State Street Global Advisors.  An additional Grand Prix for McCann New York was won in the Interactive competition for Lockheed Martin, titled, “The Field Trip to Mars”.  The TV/Cinema/Online Film competition was won by Forsman & Bodenfors, Gothenburg for their client PostNord, titled, “Love Logistics”.
