ADCE launches the Annual of European creativity

Creativity

The Art Directors Club of Europe (ADCE) has launched the 26th edition of its Annual of Annuals, highlighting the very best in European advertising and design in 2017. This free digital resource showcases all 228 awarded works from the 2017 ADCE Awards and Gold winners from local European shows. A data-based interface allows users to delve into the creative talent on show across the continent.

The ADCE Annual provides an invaluable resource and learning tool for the European industry. Every piece of data in the Annual is connected, meaning that users can follow a natural pathway between winning works, winning agencies, and even winning creatives. In fact, 759 winning professionals from the 26th ADCE Awards and 557 Gold winners of local competitions have their own profile page highlighting their commended work.

The Best of Design and Advertising Awards

Last 11 November, ADCE President Ami Hasan unveiled the recipient of the ADCE Grand Prix 2017: “Check it before it’s removed”, created by DDB Germany for non-profit organization Pink Ribbon Germany. The campaign takes advantage of the social media censorship guidelines to increase awareness for breast cancer. In addition to the overall winner, 30 Gold, 64 Silver and 133 Nominations were awarded from a total of 795 entries from 23 European countries.

58 international jurors representing 23 European countries met at the 4th European Creativity Festival in Barcelona, including Jury Presidents Rafa Montilla (O Estudio Creativo), Dörte Spengler-Ahrens (Jung von Matt/SAGA), Lotta Mårlind (Garbergs), Muggie Ramadani (Bold Scandinavia), Susana Albuquerque (Uzina Lisboa) and Steve Vranakis (Google Creative Lab, D&AD). For the 26th edition, Ami Hasan (hasan & partners) was given the honour of presiding over the awards.

Also included in this Annual are biographies and profiles on all of the jury members, as well as a short film providing a special behind-the-scenes and interviews with them.
