L’Oreal and Avon appoint, respectively switch PR agencies on Romanian market

Summer started with changes on the Romanian cosmetics market, at least when it comes of handling communication for the biggest companies in the sector. Two of the biggest actors in Romanian cosmetics field, L’Oreal and Avon, used the same day – May 9th – to send press releases to the media in order to announce the appointment, respectively the switch of PR agency.

MSL The Practice, that handled for years AVON’s communication in Romania, was announced by L’Oreal Romania as the new PR agency in charge of corporate communication. As announced in a press release, the selection was made following a pitch that was attended by some of the most important PR agencies in Bucharest. Following the win, MSL The Practice will provide to L’Oreal consultancy for corporate communication, support for implementing communication campaigns, media relations, internal communication, relations with influencers, crisis management, consultancy and support in implementing L’Oreal Romania’s CSR actions and programs.

The Head of Lifestyle and Beauty from MSL The Practice stated that the agency is happy to have convinced L’Oreal with their proposal and points out that the agency has “the needed competencies and experience to consolidate L’Oreal Romania’s presence in an extremely dynamic local market”.

Also according to a press release, GMP PR was appointed to handle Avon’s communication in Romania, after a pitch organized by the company to select a new PR agency. GMP PR will provide to its new client services as consumer PR, social media and BTL.     

The announcement was made after GMP PR already organized a first event for the new client in the end of April
