Raluca Predoi was appointed AcademIAA’s new program director, the first educational project developed by IAA Romania in collaboration with the academic environment, as a response to the growing need of employees that are graduating with high degrees in marketing in communication.

Having Raluca Predoi at the helm of the program represents a natural step in the strategy that we have established when we thought the project, both regarding the very large expertise that she has in the academic and business environment, as well as in order to potion the AcademIAA program as an important strategic direction in the educational activity of IAA Romania. We are happy that we have such a valuable person in our team! I would like to thank once again Laura Tampa for the effort put in the leading of the AcademIAA pilot phase and the manner in which she developed it in order to become a project that stands on its own,” said Victor Dobre, Executive Director IAA Romania.

AcademIAA has at its basis a strategic partnership between the business environment (represented by the companies that are IAA members) and the academic environment (ASE – The Marketing Faculty, SNSPA – The Communication and Public Relations Faculty and The Bucharest University – FJSC, for starters) and has 3 concrete action directions:

  1. Systematic interventions: research and adapting the university curricula.

2. Program for trainers: the program “Porti deschise pentru profesori în companii” (Open doors for teachers in companies), through which teachers from the 4 universities take part monthly in sessions organized by the companies in the marcomm industry and enter in direct contact with the business area, with practitioners and their way of thinking. During those sessions are discussed marketing/ communication,  HR and soft skills themes for teachers.

3. Program for students: MentorIAA – program dedicated to students that involves an individual mentorship for the career under the coordination of some mentors recruited from the companies IAA members. MentorIAA debuted with a number of 40 mentors, each coordinating 1-3 students.

Moreover, the AcademIAA program succeeded in having an active community of over 100 involved volunteers and over 20 companies.

I decided to join the AcademIAA program with the desire to contribute at the formation of the future professionals in the marcom industry. I consider that this transverse partnership between the business and the academic environment in Romania represents the ideal space that offers benefits for both the parties involved,” also said Raluca Predoi, AcademIAA program director.
