Electronic Arts launched Fifa20, developed in Bucharest and Vancouver

Electronic Arts launched globally FIFA 20, the newest edition of the popular francise of sport video games. The game is developed by EA studios in Bucharest and Vancouver and is available globally for PlayStation®4, Xbox One and PC.

 

This year brought more special opportunities, centered on our desire to offer to the fans all over the world the best FIFA experience. This way, FIFA 20 introduces a completely new way of playing, Volta Football, which brings back football to the street and offers to the players new options to enjoy the most popular game in the world. Also, our team in Romania worked together with the colleagues from Vancouver to the new functionalities of the Career and Ultimate Team modes, and to introducing many innovations within the gameplay. Moreover, the most important announcement for Romanians with passion for football is the inclusion of League 1 in FIFA 20, a novelty we are proud to be able to offer to the fans in our country

Electronic Arts Romania is one of the biggest tech companies operating in Romania and one of the 2 global studios where FIFA franchise is developed, along with EA Vancouver. EA România is present on the local market since 2006, period during which it developed more successful titles like FIFA, Need for Speed, UFC and NBA. The multidisciplinary Romanian team that contributes to developing one of the most popular games in the world includes over  1.500 people with diverse roles, like producers, software engineers, designers, project managers, animators, graphical artists, UX experts, QA analysts and many others.

FIFA 20 includes many novelties and, especially for Romanian fans, includes for the first time Romanian League 1, all the 14 Romanian football clubs playing in League 1 in 2019-2020 season, the official equipment, the emblems and the official ball. In the same time, there were 3 football players recreated authentically in the game, George Țucudean, George Pușcaș and Alexandru Mitriță.

Besides including Romanian League 1, FIFA 20 brings back football on the street, in an authentic and creative manner, with Volta Football. The players will have the possibility to express their personal style with help from a completely new game system, inspired by the reality and authenticity of the limited football games played on the streets, in gyms and on fustal arenas from all over the world.

This year, FIFA 20 raises the bar also when it comes of gameplay and brings a new authenticity level on the virtual field via an approach called Football Intelligence, based on three new functionalities: Authentic Game Flow, Decisive Moments and Ball Physics.

The players will be able to model the future of their club with the new innovation in the most authentic Career way until now. FIFA 20 offers the option to customize the manager more then ever and to also have women managers, a first in the history of the franchise. The players will have this way impact over the moral and performance of the team via interactive press conferences, changes of the start team, one to one discussions and many others.

FIFA Ultimate Team comes with a series of new functionalities, including new social experiences, such are a system of redefined objectives, that brings players new challenges, together with new ways of progressing and customize the team as the game advances. Besides bringing back Gheorghe Hagi, the Ultimate Team mode added 15 new stars among which Didier Drogba, Zinedine Zidane and Andrea Pirlo.
