Zafit reports EUR 3.2 million turnover in 2025 and marks a new milestone through fit-out portfolio diversification
Zafit, a company specializing in integrated interior fit-out services for the office and commercial sectors, concluded 2025 with a turnover of EUR 3.2 million, a 2.6-fold increase from the previous year.
In 2025, based on total project value and market segmentation, approximately 90% of Zafit’s portfolio was in the Retail sector, with the remaining projects in the Office segment. Although the office market has experienced stagnation in recent years, Zafit’s projections indicate that 2026 will mark a recovery for this segment.
The Romanian retail market is currently undergoing sustained expansion, a trend that Zafit predicts will continue through 2026–2027. This phenomenon is fueled by a constant influx of new international brands choosing state-of-the-art shopping centers to enter the local market. Simultaneously, Zafit specialists have noted a strategic shift among traditional Romanian brands, which are increasingly migrating toward modern shopping malls and moving away from street-level spaces or aging commercial units.
Complex projects and national expansion
For Zafit, 2025 was defined by complex new projects that redefined the company’s execution capacity. A key milestone was the new World Class facility in Iași, which involved the integration of the first semi-olympic swimming pool in the firm’s portfolio. In parallel, the refurbishment of Cinema City in Iași marked the company’s entry into the cinema segment, where the Zafit team successfully delivered the project on time without compromising quality standards. The end of 2025 further solidified the company’s logistical development with the completion of four IQOS stores in December, delivered just days apart.
Modernization: the growth engine for 2026
Over the past year, Zafit’s portfolio comprised 21 fit-out projects. The team focused on high-complexity executions, a strategy directly reflected in the company’s financial results. According to Claudiu Palaghiu, Managing Director and Founder of Zafit, current market trends in Romania indicate that investors are no longer exclusively focused on new construction but are increasingly emphasizing modernization and optimization of existing spaces.
Indeed, the volume of maintenance and repair work nationwide rose by over 4% (according to the 2025–2029 Medium-Term Forecast by the National Commission for Strategy and Prognosis – CNSP), signaling that the market now demands efficiency and sustainability over temporary solutions.

“The market has entered a stage where attention to detail and quality of artistry are all that matter. In 2026, our partners in the IT&C and automotive sectors are no longer looking for just a standard office; they want spaces that prioritize employee health and make them eager to return to work by offering conditions far superior to those at home,” states Claudiu Palaghiu.
Reaching the €3.2 million threshold was made possible by years of accumulated experience, corporate feedback, and a specialized project management team, a critical asset at a time when the construction market faces a shortage of skilled labor. With material prices stabilizing and sector inflation at 2.7% (Source: CNSP), the competitive edge now lies in professional workflows and transparency.
“We built this business on the idea that a premium project means, above all, peace of mind and predictability for the beneficiary, regardless of the project’s complexity,” emphasizes the company founder.
Green Offices and the “Stress-Free” Model
New trends show a surge of interest in green offices and energy efficiency. Over 70% of investors now exclusively select buildings that comply with European low-emission standards. Zafit meets these demands by delivering projects that transform work environments into spaces for actual productivity, addressing the growing need for modern collaboration hubs in Romania’s major cities.
“We are seeing a strong comeback in the office segment, but in a new form: smaller, better-equipped spaces oriented toward co-working and collaboration. This stabilization period will benefit companies that invest in quality and understand that an office is a productivity tool,” adds Claudiu Palaghiu.
Zafit’s signature business model, “Stress-Free Fit Out”, was specifically designed to remove the pressure of the construction site from the client. Through this service, Zafit assumes responsibility for every decision, from initial consultancy to long-term maintenance. Beyond its headquarters in Iași, the company has expanded its coverage nationwide, responding to the decentralization of business hubs toward major university cities.
