Mastering the Music Business becomes a member of INES

INES – Innovation Network of European Showcases unites now 18 of the most dynamic events in the European live music. Mastering the Music Business joins the network starting this year, therefore enlarging the horizon of international opportunities for the artists and the professionals in the Romanian music industry.

INES represents a unique and dynamic platform that encourages the exchange of information and the interaction between the showcase type European festivals that are vital to the European space – small and medium events that combine the live music concerts with conferences focused on the music industry. INES is co-funded by the Creative-Europe program of the European Union and develops activities meant to help the artists and the professionals in the music industry to develop their careers and to pass the borders in order to grow at an international level. Several European musicians that had the chance of singing on the scene of an international showcase festival and professionals in the music industry can make contacts for the possibility of trans-frontier collaborations.

INES includes four types of key-programs:

  1. INES#festival: online applications platform, offering all the musicians a chance to play at showcase festivals
  2. INES#talent: an exchange program for the new artists meant to grow their awareness at an international level
  3. INES#pro: an exchange program for the professionals in the music industry with the goal of developing an international career
  4. INES#conference: a series of conferences and an online library with subjects focused on the music industry.

The members that joined this year are: Mastering the Music Business (Romania), m4music (Switzerland), PIN Music Conference (North Macedonia), Sharpe Festival (Slovakia) and What’s Next in Music (Lithuania).

Mastering the Music Business was born in 2016, with the purpose of connecting local artists and professionals with other people from this field from all over Europe, but also to grow the mobility of the Romanian musicians abroad. Therefore, the fact that we became an INES member is a very important step for us. We are extremely proud to be partners with all the others festivals members INES,” said Carina Sava, Conference Program Manager at MMB.

The conference Mastering the Music Business will take place March 20-22 at Caro Hotel in Bucharest. Among the subjects discussed this year will be new themes related to the musical export for the independents, the necessity of association, the participation to local and international festivals, but also present subjects such as the digital distribution, publishing, online PR-ul, etc.

MMB Showcase Festival is completing the conference and takes place in Fratelli club, where over 25 Romanian and international artists will perform live concerts. The first bands come from Belgium, UK, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania.

The tickets for MMB Showcase Festival 2019 are available on iabilet.ro and the IaBilet network and cost RON 40 in pre-sale and RON 50 in the day of the concert, at the door. For those who want to take part in both festival days there are available two days tickets pass at the price of RON 70.
