Let’s fast forward to the future and let CompetitIAA 2020 begin!

Creativity, Education

IAA Young Professionals, the association of young professionals in the Romanian marketing and communication industry, gave the start of the tenth edition of CompetitIAA.  Students from all over the country are awaited to join the adventure and test their limits in front of the received briefs.

CompetitIAA is one of the most long-lasting projects of the association and this year is celebrating its tenth edition.

During its nine years so far, I have seen how the students that met at CompetitIAA opened their own business, how the ideas of the young people that entered the project were implemented by some of the companies, how a part of the teams’ members were later employed by the participant companies and how all the 1.800 young participants had an unique experience of learning and personal development. Therefore, during this anniversary year, but also one full of challenges, we decided to move everything in online, in order for the students all over Romania to be able to benefit from this experience.

I am thanking all of those who during the years supported this project: companies, teachers, trainers, industry personalities, student associations, media partners and all the YP volunteers for their dedication, creativity and determination. Together we succeeded in building one of the most long-lasting, relevant and impactful projects for the young people aspiring at this industry,” said Iulia Niculae-Cuciurean, IAA Young Professionals Romania President and Young Professional Vice President of IAA Global.

CompetitIAA 2020 is a 100% digital edition and this year proposes itself to break down not only the mental barriers, by transforming the impossible in possible through the ideas that the young people will present in pitchs, but also the geographic ones and make itself known not only in Bucharest, Cluj and Iasi, but in all the country. In order to register, students must be under 26 years old, form a team of 3-5 members, complete the form and get ready to offer their best ideas in resolving the briefs.

The best ideas offered by the participant teams will be awarded. The Big Prize is of EUR 500, but besides that the young people will receive special trainings from the IAA Young Professionals, meant to help them not only in the competition, but further in their career.

This year, the students will receive briefs from BCRSamsungUntold and Banca Transilvania.

The concept of this year’s edition is „Fast forward to the future” and is inspired by the year 2020. The entries can be done on the website competitiaa.ro, until November, 14th 2020, 23:59.
