Timișoara celebrates cultural dialogue with classical Chinese dance and Moutai refinement: “Beauty Beyond Words”
On July 3, the Grand Hall of the Mihai Eminescu National Theater hosted an exceptional cultural event, organized in celebration of the International Day of Dialogue among Civilizations. The classical Chinese dance performance “Beauty Beyond Words,” presented with the support of Moutai Romania, offered the audience an impressive insight into the elegance, depth, and symbolism of Chinese tradition, aiming to bring people together through art and culture.
A toast to culture and harmony between civilizations
The event was conceived as a celebration of Chinese artistic heritage, bringing to the Romanian public an ensemble of renowned dancers specializing in classical Chinese dance. The sweeping movements, refined costumes, and traditional music created an evening “beyond words,” in which emotion, story, and symbols were conveyed through a universal language.
As the exclusive cooperative partner, Moutai Romania supported this cultural initiative with the desire to promote not only artistic excellence but also the authentic taste of Chinese tradition. Guests at the event had the opportunity to taste a selection of Moutai products, thus discovering the complexity and refinement of China’s most appreciated spirit.
Moutai: ancient tradition and modern refinement
Moutai is a colorless distilled “baijiu” with an alcohol concentration of 53%, produced from red sorghum and wheat, in stages dictated by the phases of the moon. It is aged in ceramic vessels, and the final blend is made by master blenders to achieve a complex aromatic profile with notes of medicinal herbs, roasted nuts, dried fruit, and chocolate.
Moutai is not just a drink, but an expression of Chinese identity and cultural refinement. In China, it is preferred at diplomatic events and important ceremonies, being consumed by both state leaders and in private circles. In Romania, Moutai has been present since 2021, when the first store was opened in Bucharest, and recently expanded its activity to the HoReCa segment, with a presence in top restaurants and hotels throughout the country.

“For us, Moutai is not just a product, but a cultural ambassador. We are proud to support events that promote dialogue and the beauty of traditions. The Romanian public has shown itself to be open and curious about Chinese culture, and it is a joy for us to be part of this authentic exchange,” said Cathy Cao, Moutai’s representative in Romania.
Expansion into the Romanian market and active cultural involvement
With a portfolio that includes iconic products such as Moutai Flying Fairy—the classic symbol of the brand—and Moutai Prince/Moutai Chun series products—a younger version suitable for cocktails, Moutai aims to become a benchmark of refinement among Romanian consumers. Special editions such as Moutai Zodiac, with packaging inspired by the 12 Western zodiac signs, also attract collectors and enthusiasts of design and symbolism.
By participating in cultural events, Moutai Romania supports the idea that a premium drink is not only a taste experience, but also an element of connection between different worlds. Thus, the company reaffirms its mission to promote not only quality products, but also values such as elegance, respect for tradition, and intercultural dialogue.
“Beauty beyond words” – a symbol of closeness between people
The event in Timișoara brought together hundreds of spectators who applauded the dancers’ impressive performance and discovered the essence of a millennial culture. Far from being just a show, the evening was an invitation to openness, reflection, and harmony. Moutai was there as a cultural partner, offering a “toast to China” and, at the same time, “a toast to the world.”
