(adds info and statements from The Practice representatives)

Romanian PR agency The Practice has 5 nominated entries for Sabre 2011, a competition where the biggest number of entries come from Edelman and Ketchum Pleon

As the agency informs, The Practice manages to get 5 nominations for the 2nd time at EMEA SABRE Awards, after the same performance in 2008. This is also the biggest nominations obtained this year by a Romanian PR agency.

In 2008, The Practice was nominated 5 times and got 3 awards.

It is awesome to be again on the finalist list at SABRE Awards – we do that constantly for four years. What is remarkably this year is that the nominations come for 5 different campaigns, at very different categories – from the PR traditional ones (such as corporate reputation) to the newest ones (social media). I am very proud of my team and of the regularity we are doing performance at The Practice. A big BRAVO

Managing Partner The Practice

We know what extraordinary satisfaction comes with the presence on top in competitions such as SABRE Awards, and that is why we, at The Practice, want to share this joy with as many of our clients as possible. After couple dozens of trophies our agency won for campaigns that proved fully their creativity and efficience, we are convinced that our clients also know that working with The Practice is, from the start, a guarantee for performance. This year, we thank Starbucks, VES Sighișoara, Techteam Global România, Varta România and Reader’s Digest România

Edelman and Ketchum Pleon have each 15 campaigns listed among the finalists of EMEA Sabre 2011, followed bu Porter Novelli agencies (14), Fleishman-Hillard and Ogilvy Public Relations (13 each), Burson-Marsteller (12), Hill & Knowlton and Weber Shandwick (11 each) and MSL Group (10).

The finalists were selected from among 2,000 entries—the most ever—submitted to this year’s competition. The Holmes Group has also announced the winners in the Bronze and Iron categories of the awards competition, that recognize excellence in PR content and agency management.

Other firms that fared well in terms of finalists include Swedish independent Prime (nine nominees), Grayling (seven), UK-based Brands2Life and Cohn & Wolfe (including its AxiCom subsidiary) with six each; and Shine Communications of the UK and The Practice of Romania with five apiece.

Other multiple nominees include APCO Worldwide, Euro RSCG, The Red Consultancy and Unity (4 each); and All Channels Communications, Blue Rubicon, College Hill, CROS, Focus PR, Four Communications, Good Relations, Graffiti Public Relations, Lansons Communications, Marco de Communicacion, Partner of Promotion, Text 100, and V+O Communications (three each).

We received more entries this year than ever before, and the quality was the best we have ever seen, so this is the toughest SABRE competition ever, and all of the finalists should be extremely proud. In most categories there were two or three campaigns that would have won in previous years. The quality of creative thinking was extraordinarily high—big, bold ideas were much more common—and there was much more evidence that PR people are integrating digital and social media into their work.

Holmes Report CEO

Chairman of the SABRE judges

The awards gala will take place on May 18th, in Prague.
