JOAN London appoints Matthew Robinson as Managing Director to accelerate next phase of growth
Independent creative agency, JOAN London has appointed Matthew Robinson as Managing Director, marking the next phase of the agency’s rapid growth since launching two years ago.
Matthew and Kirsty Hathaway, Executive Creative Director at JOAN London, will work in close partnership to continue building on the agency’s strong momentum. Since launch, JOAN London has grown significantly in both people and revenue, establishing partnerships with standout brands including eBay and Ann Summers. Matthew will help drive the agency into its next stage of growth, reinforcing JOAN’s ambition to be the leading independent powered by joyful rebellion and committed to building modern legends.

As an agency leader with over 20 years of experience, Matthew has held senior leadership positions across both global networks and independents, including Saatchi & Saatchi, Anomaly, AMV BBDO and Joint, where he spent eight years as Partner & CEO. He has worked with clients such as Amazon, P&G, Lloyds Banking Group, Uswitch, Kettle Foods and Sony. Most recently he was CEO at Modern Citizens.
Matthew starts immediately and reports to Lisa Clunie, co-founder and Global CEO. Kirsty continues to report into Jaime Robinson, co-founder and Global CCO.
