Mobile and PR, new competition categories at Eurobest 2010

Creativity

The Eurobest Advertising Festival announced that Mobile and PR will be added as award categories of the competition, in order to reflect the movements of the industry, according to a press release.

Eurobest 2010, that will take place in Hamburg, on December 7th and 8th, will have 13 categories of competition, all judged by specialized juries.

Having consulted with the industry in Europe, and after the huge success of PR at Cannes, Public Relations has been an obvious missing element within Eurobest which we are happy to rectify. And after several years as being the Next Big Thing, mobile has clearly come of age as a communications medium for brands

Philip Thomas,

CEO of Cannes Lions, organisers of Eurobest

With categories including Best Use of Digital PR and Best Use of Media Relations, PR will aim to honor the creative use of reputation management by the building and preservation of trust and understanding between individuals, businesses or organizations and their public.

On the other hand, the Mobile category will include sections such as Mobile Websites, Applications, Video, Games and Technology.

Entries for the festival open on August 26th
