Digital & Media, Marketing

Romania’s technology industry has marked yet another performance, with six local companies ranked in the Deloitte Technology FAST 500 EMEA 2010: TeamNet International (31st), AROBS Transilvania Software (212nd), CRYS Computers (283rd), Fortech (285th), LASTING Software (334th) and The Red Point (352nd)

This annual ranking includes the fastest growing public and private technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies from 24 countries in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). The top is based on companies’ five-year revenue growth.

Romania had seven companies nominated for this competition (the finalists in the Deloitte Central Europe Technology Fast 50), with the first six qualifying due to growth rates reported for the 2005 – 2009 period: TeamNet International (Bucharest, +3,120%), AROBS Transilvania Software (Cluj-Napoca, +831%), CRYS Computers (București, +635%) Fortech (Cluj-Napoca, +629%), LASTING Software (Timisoara, +541%), The RED Point (Iasi, +510%).

The Deloitte Technology Fast 500 is the most objective industry-ranking standard to focus on the technology sector. Entrants to the ranking must have been in business at least five years and have had base-year operating revenues of at least 50,000 Euro and current year operating revenues of at least 800,000 Euro. The leader of the 2010 edition is British-based Mobile Interactive Group, a software developer reporting a 26,885% growth rate for the last five years.
