Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) announced shifting the distribution activities for VH1, effective January 1st 2014, as its representation agreement with CME related to distribution of the channel expires. VH1 will operate in an unchanged form after the change.

Lately, VIMN expanded its Comedy Central Extra and Nickelodeon footprints in Romania, as part of a regional deal with RCS-RDS. In 2014, the company intends to launch in Romania a number of new channels.

VIMN channels such as Comedy Central Extra, Nickelodeon, and VH1 will be represented by Tematic Cable starting January, while Thematic Channels will be responsible for the channels’ ad-sales activities.

Romania has growing importance in the region, and this, along with our current local portfolio, allows us to provide content for an age group as wide as 4 to 49, extending from Nickelodeon, which is already the leading kids channel in several countries of the region, to quality music channels. However, we do not wish to stop there and we have a lot of plans to execute in Romania throughout 2014
