World Information Architecture Day (WIAD) reached to its 4th edition in Romania and, in 2015, is organized by R/GA Bucharest and MakeSense. The event is the only one in Romania dedicated to specialists in information architecture and will gather them together on February 21st. Internationally, WIAD is an initiative of Information Architecture Institute (SUA) and takes place simultaneously in 38 cities from 24 countries across the world.

This year, the central theme is “Architecting happiness” and refers to the way a well made informational architecture can increase the happiness degree of the online user, following the interaction with mobile websites and apps.

Ana-Maria Bogdan

Romania was the first CEE country to join the global effort to promote informational architecture, from the first edition of WIAD in 2012. We started on this road than by taking in consideration the Romanian context and added themes both relevant and needed, related to user experience and digital content. Continuing in this direction, I trust this year’s edition will be the most successful until now. February 21st will bring together both themes and case studies never presented in public, won projects of some of the most sought for awards in the industry, international speakers, Romanian digital professionals with big projects and a community of people with a passion for this domain

We were always interested in the way content we produce manages to have the desired impact over users and consumers. We are, for the third year, partners in realizing this event and we keep working on creating a more and more numerous and active community WIAD 2015 will be very interesting as we speak about what makes consumers happy – it’s all about them, about their needs and about brands that know to offer info and content valuable to them.
