Facebook and Google posted, for Q1 2015, accumulated business turnovers of Euro 20.8BN, almost half of Romaniațs PIB for the same period.
More exactly, Google posted quarterly revenues of $17.3BN for Q1 and $3.6BN profit in the same period, while Facebook had revenues of $3.5BN and profit of $510M
On the other hand, Google and, more recently, Facebook are establishing standards in direct marketing, generate collateral industries (specialized agencies, apps) and their decisions can make appear or disappear full areas of online business and not only.
Both companies will have key-note speeches and dedicated workshops at ICEEfest 2015, during festival’s second day, June 12th.
Facebook’s workshop, “Facebook: Performance Marketing in Multi-Device World” is scheduled for June 12th and will take place on the Know-How stage. The workshop will be hosted by Mert Canli, Regional Product Marketing Manager Facebook, with the line-up of speakers including Rustam Ziganshin, Agency Partner CEE Facebook, and Robert Bednarski, Head of CEE Facebook.
During the same day, Google will have its own workshop, “Video and mobile: the two winning strategies in online performance”, with Julia Karr, Branding Expert Google US, and Oana Dumitrescu, Analytical Lead, Google Romania, as trainers.
From the approach of the proposed themes by the 2 key players it is clear that both companies focus on the ecosystems they’ve created and that are capable to generate sales and business. Moreover, we can see some clear trends: the importance of video, targeting clearly higher incomes that are still visible now in the TV area, and the migration of consumers towards mobile platforms who, soon, will become “the main screen” to which the consumer reports to
Founder & organizer ICEEfest.
Facebook and Google will also take the Innovation stage, during “A Room With A Global Giant View” session having as participants Robert Bednarski and Rustam Ziganshin from Facebook and Doina Costache, Regional Client Partener Manager, Google APAC (Asia-Pacific).
The internet giants’ session will also have as speaker Scott Thwaites, Manager Partner EMEA (Europa, Orientul Mijlociu, Africa) Twitter.
