Art Directors Club Romania (ADC*RO) elected a new president, Eugen Suman (Creative Director Kubis Interactive), who will manage the organization together with a managing board that includes Mihnea Gheorghiu, Group Creative Director Publicis Romania, and Claudiu Dobrita, Creative Director FCB Bucharest.
I am honored for receiving the trust of my industry colleagues for such a tough job as the one of ADC*RO’s president. I aim, together with the managing team, Mihnea Gheorghiu and Claudiu Dobrita, to make from ADC*RO a synonymous brand with the successful programs and project for ad creation in Romania and to continue to raise ADC School until it becomes a young talents’ nursery not only for Romania, but also for the region. Generally, the creative department is an extremely vocal one when it comes of supporting its interests and we intend to make the voice of creative heard also where it matters, where it can change something. Moreover, we strongly believe in local industry’s creative product and that is why we will support any initiative that celebrates local creativity, besides the programs we are going to run during our two-years long mandate. We want an optimistic and constructive ADC*RO, highly representative and constructive for any creative and not only. We’re going to talk again in two years, to see what we have managed
Eugen Suman has over 10 years of experience in advertising and worked both in Romania (BBDO and Grey) and abroad (JANDL Bratislava, Young&Rubicam Prague and McCann Prague). While in Slovakia, Suman and his team managed to turn a small and unknown agency into a multi-awarded one in local and international festivals.
Mihnea Gheorghiu works in advertising since he was 19. He occupied creative positions in agencies like Leo Burnett Toronto, GMP Bucharest, Young & Rubicam New York or Dentsu America and taught at Miami Ad School, for Madrid and Brooklyn schools.
Claudiu Dobrita started as Junior Copywriter at Leo Burnett Romania, he was Creative Director at Grey Group, DRAFTFCB and others. He was the author of many locally and internationally awarded campaigns and, for a while, he was also Creative Director at Ogilvy Prague.
