PIAF, where sports and creativity meet

The biggest star of the PIAF conference is without a doubt Jury Chairman Ben Tollett from adam&eveDDB London. Daniel Fischer, Marketing Director at UBS, will offer an insight into the restart of Switzerland’s largest bank. In total you will get to see 30 speakers from 10 different countries. The festival takes place on April 26th and 27th in Prague.

The 7th edition of PIAF will offer 2 conferences in one. Next to the now traditional PIAF workshops, the 1st day will focus on the topic of sports marketing.

Among the most interesting speakers are experts from London branch of the Octagon agency, who will present ways of evaluating sponsorship projects. The expert from the Austrian SK Rapid Vienna will explain how the club managed to raise €3M from its fans for the construction of a new stadium. British agency Activative will present methods of activating sponsorship projects. The Chief of Digital Communication at Borussia Dortmund will reveal how current technologies can help create a relationship between a brand and its fans. Snowboarder and Olympic Gold medalist Eva Samkova will also share her experience with sponsorship.

The second day will offer among other things a look at the changing position of luxury brands. Shandor Gancs from Dutch agency BSUR has extensive experience with this topic. Daniel Fischer from the bank UBS will describe the reaction of a famous traditional brand during the hard times of Swiss banking. The present and future of social networks and their limits in commercial communication will be analyzed by Jan Rezab, founder of Social Bakers. Designer Anna Maresova, author of luxury sex toys, will speak about the combination of unique design and obstinacy in fulfilling ones dream.

PIAF will also offer a free screening for students and marketing aficionados – Shots in the Dark. The conference will culminate with the presentation of the winners of the international competition and the closing party.

The PIAF Awards bring a new perspective on creativity. The multiplication of available means of communication and their diffusion have led to a new system of categories and ratings. A top class jury judges entries in all categories with the same intensity, with the jury including also representatives of clients, who enrich the judging with a pragmatic approach.

The PIAF Awards are open for entries in all categories until February 29th, with the shortlist to be published in the first half of April. The entry fees are available here. The jury will meet to designate the winners in Prague, during the festival, on April 25-27.
