Sid Lee Paris continues international expansion strategy

Business, Creativity, People

Sid Lee Paris continues to grow its international development and to consolidate its expansion strategy. The European creative agency aims to reinforce its offer, to give French and European brands the wealth of possibilities offered by the kyu collective, as well as those by the Hakuhodo group.

kyu is a group of top-tier global creative services companies, propelling the belief that creativity has the power to move the economy and society forward.  kyu groups different international actors like IDEO, a global design company creating positive impact through design, Infrared, a global experience marketing company, SYPartners, a leadership consulting company specialized in brand strategy and innovation, and BEworks, a management consulting firm dedicated to the practice of applying behavioral science to strategy, marketing, operations, and policy challenges.

Sid Lee Paris is establishing its « Alliances » axis, in order to develop and facilitate collaborations in the « kyu collective » in France and internationally, as well as the different Sid Lee agencies (Paris, Montreal, Toronto, New York, Los Angeles) and Hakuhodo West.

Recent collaborations between Sid Lee Paris and the different entities have already proved beneficial.

Most recently, Sid Lee Paris and Hakuhodo West, which, together, form the Hakuhodo Collective, won the Honda Motor Europe budget, beating out Wieden+Kennedy London, Joint, and McGarryBowen.

And collaborations for clients within the Parisian agency have also stood out: Sobieski Global and PSG (both Sid Lee Paris and Yard), Salomon (Kinship, Sid Lee Paris’s sister agency, and IDEO), and the kyu collective: Michelin, Acer and Stella Artois (Sid Lee and Infrared), Pocky (Sid Lee Paris and Hakuhodo).

To accelerate collaborations within the different Sid Lee, Hakuhodo, Yard and kyu entities, Sid Lee Paris is strengthening its team with the nomination of Alex Pasini as SVP Global Alliances of Sid Lee and with the hiring of Eugénie Valletoux, Integration and New Business Director at Sid Lee Paris.

Originally from Montreal, Alex Pasini has been with Sid Lee for over a decade, managing some of the group’s biggest clients like Adidas, Ubisoft and Red Bull, and helped bring the Sid Lee network to Europe. He piloted the opening of Sid Lee Amsterdam before joining Sid Lee Paris in 2013 as Strategy Partner. After Sid Lee joined the kyu collective, Alex’s role evolved into SVP Global Alliances, supervising relations between multiple Sid Lee agencies as well as with kyu agencies and Hakuhodo DY Holdings companies.

Alex Pasini coordinates processes and ensures fluidity with the different agencies in the Hakuhodo group and kyu collective. Working directly with Sylvain Thirache, Chairman & Creative Director at Sid Lee Paris and Johan Delpuech, President of Sid Lee Paris, Alex is also in charge of internationalizing the Parisian office and the Sid Lee Paris collective as a whole.

After 12 years at BETC Paris, where she worked on some of the agency’s most prominent accounts, notably CANAL+, Disneyland Paris and Ubisoft, Eugénie Valletoux, previously Associate Director, joined Sid Lee Paris as Integration and New Business Director.

Her objective is to contribute to the Sid Lee Paris collective’s growth in working with Alex Pasini on collaborations with the KYU partner agencies: IDEO, global design thinking network pioneer, and Infrared, experts in sports event sponsorship. She will also help develop alliances within the Parisian office, most notably, with Sid Lee’s first acquisition, YARD, a media agency specialized in urban culture. By creating synergies between Sid Lee and its sister agencies, in terms of process and team synergy, as well as culture, Eugenie aims to broaden each entity’s client roster and enrich the Sid Lee Paris collective’s field of competencies.
