ParkLake will host for the first time the event AstroFest2019

ParkLake Shopping Center will host May 25th the scientific event AstroFest2019. Starting 17:00 o’clock, the people in Bucharest are awaited at ParkLake Garden in order to admire the stars and to find out more about our solar system. During the event the participants will be able to test the telescopes brought for the astronomic observations, will experiment the flight in the Eagle mode or will be able to see the astro photography exhibition together with the template Terra in the section, of huge dimensions. The event is organized by the Stiinta si Tehnica editorial team, with the support of Bucharest’s City Hall and the ARCUB center.

All the participants, regardless of age, are invited to enjoy unique experiences ready with the occasion of AstroFest 2019.  Twenty telescopes will be directed to some celestial objects more or less known by the general public. The astronomic objectives start after 17:00 with the Sun and, once the dark lays, anyone can admire the stars, guided by professional astronomer.

At the same time,different exhibitions will complete the event. The public will be able to enjoy very interesting pieces of information about Terra through images and a huge template, while the telescopes exhibition will respond to many curiosities as of how they function and how they are utilized. Moreover, there will be demonstrations with wireless command of the MEADE LX850 telescope, completely automatized and ready for astro-photography.

Moreover, the public will be able to test an unique experience in virtual reality. The VR simulation will start with the taking off of the Apollo 11 spaceship and follows all the flight’s moments. For the ones that haven’t experimented virtual reality so far, the flight with the Eagle module will be for sure memorable.

At the same time, AstroFest 2019 will also offer scientific experiences with the Astronomy Workshop especially developed on everybody’s understanding.

Together with the 38 years’ celebration for the biggest Romanian special adventure – the mission Soyuz 40, the only Romanian cosmonaut Dorin Dumitru Prunariu will talk about his experience. Alongside him on stage will step the journalist Alexandru Mironov and they will discuss about what the future in space reserves us, about the perspective of moving on other planets and about the cosmic flight.
