Leo Burnett Bucharest scores another success, making it again this year to the final stage of the annual competition recognizing the best of the best campaigns, Effie Awards Europe. The four nominations are in the categories Marketing & Business Solutions (Smart Wi-Fi for Telekom Romania), Best of Europe – Internet & Telecom (Don’t let yourself be fooled for Telekom Romania) and Positive Change Europe: Social Good – Brands, where the agency has two projects nominated: Storytime for Telekom Romania and timpulsacitim (timetoread) for Curtea Veche Publishing.

It is the second year in which Leo Burnett is recognized in this major competition. At the same time, the performance of the communication campaigns have made Telekom Romania the only telco brand in Romania to reach the final stage of Effie Awards Europe for the second time.

Effie Europe is an annual competition rewarding the most efficient communication campaigns in Europe and is the symbol of proven efficiency in advertising and a tribute to the partnership between clients and agencies. The four campaigns are part of a selection of 52, made by a jury of 90 communication professionals.

Effie Awards Europe will announce its winners during the gala on 24 November 2020.

The four nominated campaigns:

Storytime: mobile app using animations, AR filters & smartphone features to recreate immersive parent and kid bedtime story experience.

Smart Wi-Fi: Telekom Romania’s Smart WiFi brings Internet right from the socket, with no holes and no extra cables needed.

Don’t let yourself be fooled: campaign positioning Telekom Romania as a challenger brand on the Romanian market.
