Swedish visual marketing company Flowbox partners with digital agency Spire to deliver its first plugin for the ecommerce platform Shopify. The plugin will make it possible for companies using Shopify to embed user generated content (UGC) in visual galleries in their ecommerce environment.

Flowbox is a SaaS company offering a platform to help brands leverage and distribute social content throughout the buyer journey, to increase engagement and sales. Today, brands throughout Europe within fashion, interior design, food, beauty, and many other sectors, use Flowbox to collect and publish visual content on their websites and in other digital channels such as email, organic and paid social.

Over 1,700,000 businesses worldwide use Shopify to run their online stores. The all-in-one commerce platform hosts its own app store, where users can search for and download apps, like the new Flowbox plugin.

“We are delighted to offer this plugin to our existing and future customers and to strengthen our partnership with Shopify,” says Marcus Carloni, CEO and founder, Flowbox. “This solution will make it easy to embed visual galleries with shoppable content curated in Flowbox across Shopify ecommerce sites, enhancing the customer experience and increasing value.”

To use the plugin, a Flowbox account is required. Once installed from the Shopify app store, users will need to add their unique ‘Flow key’ in order to embed static and dynamic visual content, which has been collected and moderated in Flowbox, onsite.

The Flowbox visual content can be displayed in independent modules on a Shopify ecommerce site. This allows brands to showcase authentic photos and videos from their community, leveraging social proof to boost sales. In addition, the Shopify plugin allows brands to add product-specific, dynamic content in the main product slider/carousel, ensuring that relevant, community-sourced content is prominently displayed.

“Working with Shopify’s Polaris to build a value-adding experience for all Shopify merchants is rewarding for Spire as well. It is great news for the Shopify community that Flowbox is now available as a plugin app. Flowbox technology is effective and aligning our assets with their technical core team was gratifying, ” says Serge Janssen Daalen, Founder and CEO at Spire Digital Solutions.  Following this successful release, Flowbox and Spire Digital Solutions will extend their partnership and build additional plugins for other ecommerce platforms, including WooCommerce and WordPress.
