Cortina Wellness, a new urban sanctuary for wellbeing, opened in Pipera, within the Cortina North complex

Cortina Wellness, a premium concept dedicated to health and longevity, has officially opened its doors within the Cortina North residential complex, located at 1/VII A Pipera Boulevard. Spanning over 2,300 sqm and developed with a multi-million-euro investment, the center introduces to Romania a truly integrated wellbeing concept – a place where movement, recovery, and relaxation come together in perfect harmony.    

Strategically positioned in one of Bucharest’s most vibrant areas, the project was envisioned as a holistic ecosystem that blends cutting-edge technology, premium facilities, and an architecture inspired by the mythical idea of Shangri-La – a place of balance and inner peace.

“Cortina Wellness is about the conscious guidance of muscle contraction and breath, it’s about prevention, therapy, and longevity, within a space where physical activity has cognitive purpose,” says Radu Popescu, Manager Cortina Wellness.

A complete ecosystem for body and mind

The fitness area (400 sqm) features the Technogym Artis line, globally recognized for its ergonomics, sustainable design, and digital integration that allows every workout to be personalized. A semi-Olympic pool (500 sqm) complements the experience with a range of benefits — from efficient cardiovascular training and stress reduction to active relaxation and recovery. Yoga and breathwork classes are designed to enhance inner energy and emotional balance. The Pilates studio, fully equipped with BASI equipment, focuses on the development of muscle balance – the foundation of correct posture and a harmonious physique.

In addition, the center also includes advanced wellness and recovery facilities:

• ReLounge Zero Gravity by Gharieni – an innovative treatment bed that combines electroacupuncture and TENS therapy for deep muscle relaxation and revitalization.
• InBody Analysis – a precise body composition assessment tool for setting realistic goals and tracking progress.
• Normatec 3 – modern lymphatic drainage technology, recommended for both athletes and those with a sedentary lifestyle.

Architectural design with its own identity

Designed by Eduard Baicu (Phenomena Laboratory), the architecture expresses the vision of an urban sanctuary: sculptural hallways that evoke both strength and fluidity, spaces flooded with natural light, and an intuitive spatial flow that gracefully separates the movement and relaxation zones from the pool and sauna area.
