pastel earns the EcoVadis Bronze Medal for its sustainability performance
pastel, a Romanian integrated communication agency, has been awarded the Bronze Medal by EcoVadis, the global leader in corporate sustainability assessments. With an overall score of 66 out of 100, pastel ranks among the top 24% of companies evaluated worldwide, with its performance classified as “Advanced”.
The EcoVadis assessment measures a company’s sustainability performance based on 21 criteria grouped into four key themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement — in accordance with international standards such as the UN Global Compact, the International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, and ISO 26000.
As part of this assessment, pastel achieved notable results in the areas of Ethics and Labor & Human Rights, confirming the strength of its internal policies on non-discrimination, pay equity, professional development, employee well-being, and ethical business management. The agency also demonstrated a strong commitment to Sustainable Procurement, by implementing a Supplier Code of Conduct and integrating social and environmental criteria into its selection processes.
The EcoVadis analysis positions pastel among the industry leaders in sustainability, with notable results in the following areas:
- Ethics: top 8% of companies evaluated, with a score of 71/100, thanks to the implementation of clear policies on integrity, data confidentiality, and responsible business conduct.
- Labor & Human Rights: top 14%, with a score of 68/100, confirming the agency’s efforts in preventing discrimination and harassment, promoting pay equity, work-life balance, and continuous employee development.
- Sustainable Procurement: top 7%, with a score of 60/100, reflecting responsible purchasing policies, including the implementation of a Supplier Code of Conduct and the integration of social and environmental criteria in supplier selection processes.
- Environment: score of 48/100, highlighting the steps taken to reduce the carbon footprint, energy consumption, and to promote sustainable resource management.
