Mihai Trandafir, promoted CEO IPG Mediabrands Romania, Victor Croitoru becomes UM Romania´s new Managing Director

Mihai Trandafir takes over as CEO IPG Mediabrands România, while Victor Croitoru becomes the new Managing Director UM România.

Mihai will supervise the development of IPG Mediabrands brands in Romania – UM, Initiative and Kinesso, aiming to optimize operations, increase synergies between agencies and identify new market opportunities to develop clients´ businesses. Mihai Trandafir will report directly to Monika Bronowska, CEO IPG Mediabrands CEE.

With 26 years of experience within UM, from which 20 as Managing DIrector, Mihai brings in his role a solid strategic vision and profound understanding of the market. Under his leadership, UM România became one of the most appreciated agencies on local market and gathered a series of awards including „Media Agency of the Year” at Media Global Festival (2016), Eurobest (2015), Golden Drum (2023 & 2024), along with 34 accolades at Cannes Lions, Global Grand Effie and over 80 Effie awards.

The new Managing Director UM România, Victor Croitoru, was previously Strategy & New Business Director. Working for over 20 years for UM, Victor actively contributed to developing the agency and held positions like Regional Strategy and New Business Director IPG Mediabrands CEE. In his new role, he will continue working with the CEE regional team when it comes of strategic development and business initiatives.
