Omnicom’s second quarter income rose 4.2%, to $243.3M

Omnicom Group announced a 4.2% raise of income in the 2nd quarter of the current year, to $243.3M, up from $233.4M in the same period of 2009, according to a release published on company’s website.

Company’s worldwide revenue increased 5.9% to $3,041.2M, up from $2,870.7M in the second quarter of 2009.  The revenues in US increased 7.4% to $1,636.9M, while international revenue increased 4.3% to $1,404.3M, up from $1,346.2 million in the second quarter of 2009.

On the other hand, Omnicom’s net income for the six months ended June 30, 2010 increased 2.2% to $406.7 million from $397.9 million in the same period in 2009.

Omnicom’s worldwide revenue for the 1st semester increased 6.1% to $5,961.2M, from $5,617.3M in 2009. International revenue increased 6.7% for the same period, to $2,731.5M, up from $2,560.6 M in the same period in 2009.
