A new law in Germany will forbid the companies to check Facebook pages of their job applicants, if it will come into force, Spiegel informs.

Although the Facebook page check will be forbidden, the companies will still be allowed to google their aplicants.

According to a survey made last year by CareerBuilder, 45% of employers use social networking sites to research job candidates and 35% of them rejected candidates based on what they found on their social media pages – inappropriate photos, insulting comments about previous employers or boasts about their drug use.
