Hortensia Nastase, Romanian Lowe PR’s head, is Romania’s juror in the inaugural edition of the PR competition from Eurobest.
“One thing is for sure though: I see this as a responsibility in front of the Romanian specialized industry, in front of European practitioners, in front of clients playing their cards on PR. And of course, in front of my team, which has brought me to this reputed position.” , said Nastase, about her appointment in the inaugural PR jury at Eurobest.
Mircea Tomescu from Graffiti PR and Ioana Manoiu from GMP PR were, along with Nastase, Romania’s proposals for the PR jury at Eurobest 2010.
The period in which agencies can send entries for Eurobest’s competitions closes on October 1st.
In the last 4 years, Romania had as jurors Razvan Capanescu – Publicis, Corina Bernschutz – Starcom, Stefan Iordache – Leo Burnett, Dragos Grigoriu – Tempo, Claudiu Dobrita – Grey and Alina Gavrila – Gavrila & asociatii.
The strategy of promoting performant Romanian advertising professionals at international level started with Eurobest 2006, continued with Dubai Lynx 2007 (Zoltan Szigeti, Laura Tampa and Jorg Riommi) and triumphed with the first two jurors at Cannes Lions 2009 and 2010, Eliza Rogalski – Rogalski/Grigoriu and Gabi Lungu – The Practice. Also, The Practice won the 1st PR Silver Lion in Romania.
In 2010, we are celebrating five years since we represent IAF, a period in which we managed to reset the trainings, specialization and competitions agenda of the industry. We trained the taste for high-end competitions and we encouraged the participation to the most wanted international events in the communication industry. Probably the most important aspect of out private diplomacy work for the communication industry is not at seniors’ level, through jurors proposals, but at juniors level, by developing an alternative study platform for the future performers of the industry. I am talking here about The Alternative School for Creative Thinking, the only platform that offers young people in Romanian marcomm the chance to take part and perform at events such as Cannes Lions or Eurobest.
