Mihnea Vasiliu appointed General Manager of Ringier Romania

Mihnea Vasiliu (44) has been named General Manager of Ringier Romania, being responsible, in this position, for the strategic and operative leadership as well as the development of all business activities of Ringier in Romania, according to Ringier’s website.

Vasiliu is the successor to Marius Hagger, that left the position to accept a new professional challenge.

Mihnea Vasiliu will assume his new role as General Manager of Ringier Romania in mid-November and, from this position, he will report directly to Florian Fels, CEO Ringier Central Europe.

Vasiliu has excellent knowledge of the Romanian media market and many years of experience in leading media companies. Currently he is Executive Director of Realitatea Media Group in Bucharest which operates the TV news channel Realitatea. Prior to that he was CEO of the Romanian Media Pro Group, publisher of newspapers and magazines.

Hagger left from Ringier to work for NZZ Group in Switzerland.

Paginademedia.ro was the 1st to announce that Mihnea Vasiliu, Deputy General Manager of Realitatea Catavencu group, will be the new chief of Ringier Romania. Before joining Realitatea-Catavencu, Vasiliu worked in MediaPro Group and he also was General Manager of Mediafax News Agency.

Ringier Romania has approximately 400 employees and publishes amongst others the tabloid newspaper Libertatea, teen and women’s magazines like Bravo, Unica or Bolero, in addition to running Internet portals and a printing plant.
