Romanian women watch TV with their friends or family

Romanian women are watching TV together with friends or their family, according to a Discovery study realized to identify the preferences of women in 6 countries before launching TLC TV in Romania.

The study was made in august-september 2010 and aimed to identify the TV consumption for women and to tweak TLC’s programs to public’s watching preferences. The study ran in Sweden, Netherlands, Italy, Russia, Poland and Romania.

The woman status is differently perceived if the cultural considerents are taken in consideration.

Women tend to chose certain TV channels and programs because of the way they perceive themselves, of interests, lifestyle or socio-cultural context. Also, they are interested in discovering new things and experiences when it is about tv.
