Because there’s always too less time and too much to write, here’s a round up:

  • Starcom Media Vest lost Friesland media account, that went to Universal McCann Romania, info confirmed, for AdPlayers, by Mihai Trandafir, leader of Universal McCann. According to AdPlayers, the value of the media account is of Euro 3-4M/year. The agencies invited to pitch for the account were McCann Erickson’s media division, Starcom Media Vest and Mindshare Media.
  • Greyling is managing the European Commission’s anti-smoking campaign, being responsible for writing the pres materials, handling the press relation and the relation with the involved parties, handling PR and activities orientated towards the target public and closing different partnerships for the 27 member states of EU, as Paginademedia writes.
  • Romanian Ciao! and Spy magazines launched new online versions, that can be accessed after paying a fee. The online versions of the two publications were redraw and technically conceived by Publyo, while Q2M sells their advertising space.
  • Romanian businessman Sorin Ovidiu Vintu and his associate Ion Ilie Cezar have been indicted for blackmailing Realitatea TV manager Sebastian Ghita, Mediafax writes
