McCann Erickson Romania was shortlisted at Cresta Awards 2012, with its campaign for ROM, “Romanians are Smart”. McCann is the only Romanian agency shortlisted in this competition.
20th Annual Cresta International Advertising Awards Announce Finalists
The most selected works entered on the finalist list at Cresta Awards this year come from Serviceplan Gruppe München (25), followed by BETC Euro RSCG Paris, HEIMAT Berlin, Kolle Rebbe Hamburg, Y&R Buenos Aires, Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO London, Grabarz & Partner Hamburg and Leo Burnett Frankfurt, according to a press release.
Cresta Awards, launched in 1993 by Creative Standards International to honor an absolute standard of creative excellence in advertising and marketing communications, reached to its 19th annual worldwide competition.
Cresta’s competitions are: TV/Cinema/Online Films, Integrated Campaigns, Press, Outdoor, Ambient Media, Direct Marketing, Radio, Design, Promotions & Incentives, Crafts and Interactive.
TV/Cinema/Digital is the competition with highest number of shortlisted works (51), followed by Crafts (36) and Press (33). Next are Interactive (27), Outdoor (26), Ambient Media (22), Design (18), Promotion&Incentives (16), Integrated campaigns (14), Direct Marketing (12) and Radio (6).
From the 51 countries participating in this year’s awards, 26 achieved finalist status. A total of 261 ads, campaigns and Interactive entries were chosen by approximately 100 top creatives.
The 261 entries on shortlist come from Argentina (11), Australia (1), Austria (8), Belgium (2), Czech Republic (2), Finland (3), France (34), Germany (111), Hungary (2), Israel (2), Japan (1), Lebanon (6), Netherlands (3), Norway (13), Poland (1), Portugal (2), Romania (1), Serbia (1), Singapore(4), Slovakia (1), Spain (1), Sweden (15), Switzerland (4), United Arab Emirates (5), UK (14), US (13).
All finalists will be evaluated by Cresta’s International Grand Jury of 73 internationally known creative directors, film specialists, graphic designers and interactive professionals from 42 countries. The jury is chaired by Olivier Altmann, Chief Creative Officer Publicis Worldwide, and winners will be announced on October 22nd.
