IAB Romania will award the Webvertiser of the Year 2012 at Internetics, as a sign of recognition for integrating and constant and coherent using of internet as a communication channel, for innovation and opening towards this channel.
Webvertiser of the Year accolade is awarded by IAB Romania and takes in consideration the proposals received from its members, nominations based on 5 essential criteria: innovation in online marketing and advertising, openness towards online and new proposals, respecting IAB standards, online investments (how much online represents in the marketing budget and the importance given to internet within the marketing mix), diversity of the interactive channels used by companies (display, performance, special projects, mobile, social media, virals, email marketing, repeated usage within the marketing mix).
Following centralizing the proposals, IAB Romania's management board analyzes and votes Webvertiser of the Year 2012, taking in consideration the online performance of the proposed advertisers, for the period November 2011 – August 2012 and the arguments favoring the nomination.
Webvertiser of the Year award means more and more for advertisers in terms of prestige and certification of the more and more important role online advertising has in the communication mix. Webvertiser of the Year sends a message towards the industry related to creativity, innovation, efficiency and relevance, as benefits of the digital medium. Awarding this distinction offers an example, from one year to another, and a recognition for the good practices in online communication

2012 edition is the 6th Internetics edition during which IAB Romania offers Webvertiser of the Year award. Companies that received this prize until now are: Unilever (2007), L’Oreal Romania and Coca-Cola Romania (2008), Orange Romania (2009), ING Bank (2010) and Petrom (2012).
Internetics 2012 Gala is scheduled to take place on October 1st, at National Opera in Bucharest.
