Victor Kapra, Romanian online and social media consultant and blogger specializing in new technologies & web, is Romania’s representative in the jury of Mobile Application Awards, a competition initiated by MasterCard. The other members of the jury are Dragan Petric (Croatia), Balazs Koren and Balazs Horvath (Hungary), Cenk Tarhan and Ersin Akman (Turkey), Jan Laska, Jan Matura and Lubos Srb (Czech Republic and Slovakia), Grzegorz Marczak, Konstanty Młynarczyk and Michal Gruszka (Poland), Nickolay Turubar, Sergey Malenkovich and Victor Zaykovsky (Russia) and Igor Andrensek (Slovenia).
Applicants can submit their entries until January 10th 2013.
MasterCard launched the new competition to recognize the best available mobile shopping applications in nine countries in Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and Turkey. The initiative aims to reward the top performers and showcase the most innovative applications in the mobile shopping space.
In 2013, 9 countries will participate to this competition, namely the Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Romania, Russia and Turkey. MasterCard Mobile Shopping Application Awards will recognize the best mobile applications that allow users to browse and optionally purchase products or services. Mobile applications that are already publicly available in the official languages of the 9 countries launching the awards may enter the competition and must be available on at least one of the following platforms: iOs, Android, Windows Phone.
The three top applications across all of the 9 participating countries, as well as the top three applications in each market, will be awarded with a trophy, a certificate and the right to use “Winner of MasterCard Mobile Shopping Application Awards 2013” title and logo in their communications for a year. The winners will be announced in the first quarter of 2013.
