GreenPixel signs “Carollers” campaign for Timisoreana, in which 4 stand-up comedians re-interpret, in a modern and amusing form, the Romanian Christmas related traditions.
Under the slogan “Old Traditions, New Carollers”, the campaign answers in an innovative way to Timisoreana’s brief for a communication campaign related to the winter holidays traditions with regional specifics. Stand-up comedians Dan Badea, Sorin Parcalab, Cosmin Nedelcu and Catalin Bordea are each interpreting a character specific for a Romanian region, monetizing on stereotypes Romanians are accustomed with.
The campaign is built like a 3 episodes experience, integrated in a Facebook app through which the users can customize – with augmented videos – the traditional wishes from the 4 comedians previous to sending them to their friends. The users can also discover the entire story via 7 movies distributed via the Facebook app but also through channels such as Youtube or Trilulilu.
We aimed to offer a story, a game and a Holidays joy. That is why we applied a series of gamification principles within the campaign, unveiling the entire exclusive content once the users are completing the experience

In the first 48 hours since the campaign was launched, both the story and the wishes propagated virally, with the app gathering over 7,000 new fans on Facebook and over 7,000 views of the 1st episode in the campaign only on the YouTube channel.
