Mihnea Gheorghiu, Group Creative Director Publicis Bucharest, won the Romanian Cannes Predictions, organized by Leo Burnett & Target Bucharest, with a score of 1575 points from a total of 1820 possible.
Besides being Romanian Cannes Predictions 2013 winner, Mihnea is also a real winner in this year’s Cannes International Festival of Creativity competition. Together with other 2 Romanian creatives – Raul Mandru and Mihai Botarel -, he scooped a Bronze in Mobile competition for Instagram Menu.
The participants to Cannes Predictions viewed 35 entries considered by Leo Burnett network as being the best of 2012-2013 and chose 12 executions considered as front runners to the prizes. The designated winner was the participant that got the highest score following his votes.
This year’s edition of the competition had a dedicated Facebook app and also starred in special events organized together with Brasov Communication School, Advice and IQads Kadett. In the start of the competition, creatives from Leo organized a special screening at ICEEfest.
The big award offered by the agency dared the participants to spot 12 best executions out of 35 and to gather as many Cannes Lions.
The competition celebrated 26 years since the launch by Leo Burnett Chicago of Cannes Predictions and takes place annually within Leo Burnett worldwide network, a few days before the start of Cannes Festival. Reached to its 12th edition in Romania, the contest targets all people with passion for advertising.
