Spikes Asia launched new initiatives and is open for delegate registration

Advertising, Festivals, Spikes Asia

Spikes Asia, region’s foremost festival and awards for the creative communications industry, has officially opened for delegate registration.

The festival modifies its format this year and will be a 4 day event (lasting one day more than before) and will take place in the week following Formula 1 Grand Prix, namely on September 23-26, in Singapore.

Spikes Asia will encompass carefully curated seminars and forums, inspiring exhibitions of work, dedicated networking events and a celebratory Awards Ceremony which will bring the event to a close.

It’s a really exciting time for Spikes Asia, not only because of its extended duration, but also because there are a host of new initiatives that put the spotlight on talent and training as well as new entry categories that reflect the direction of the industry in APAC. It is without doubt the must-attend event for the region’s industry.

Terry Savage,

Chairman Lions Festivals

Spikes Asia introduced 2 new entry categories starting this year, namely Innovation Category (to award breakthrough technology and innovation), and Healthcare Category (to honor brave and innovative communications ideas that have overcome the unique challenges faced by healthcare brands, and succeeded – through creativity – in generating value and changing lives).

The delegate registration is now open and, until July 17th, those who want to participate can get a special early bird rate of S$1100 for a full delegate package. Other packages are available specifically for younger generation: Young Spikes Creative (creatives aged 28 or under), Young Spikes Marketer (marketers aged 30 or under) and Spikes Student (students aged 23 or under).

Building on 27 years of the illustrious Spikes Awards, Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity is the result of a collaboration between the Lions Festivals (organizers of Cannes Lions, Lions Health, Dubai Lynx and Eurobest) and Haymarket (publishers of Campaign Asia Pacific). The Festival provides the region’s growing creative and advertising industry with a platform to network and exchange ideas, bringing together some of the finest creative thinkers from across the region and around the world.

Spikes Asia, attended by over 1,800 delegates from 30 countries in 2013, offers an inspirational program of seminars and workshops focusing on creativity and learning, exhibitions of creative work from Asia-Pacific, networking events in the evening and the Spikes Asia award show.

The Awards, judged by leading international and regional creatives, honor the best creative work in the categories of Film, Print, Outdoor, Radio, Digital, Integrated, Direct, Promo & Activation, Media, Print Craft, Film Craft, Design, Mobile, PR and Branded Content & Entertainment.
