Romanian retail market, to grow 4.3% in 2014, one of the best evolutions in Europe

Expo Media, member Marketing Insiders Group, comes to meet the needs of Romanian retail players by organizing the second edition of Romanian Retail Convention, scheduled to take place on October 1st, at JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel

Romanian retail ranked 3rd in UE in July, compared to the same period of last year, with Luxembourg and Estonia occupying the first places, according to Eurostat data. According to the same data, in August, the biggest evolution in retail compared to the same period last year were in Luxembourg (14.1%), Bulgaria (9.2%) and Romania (6.3%).

Among the subject approached at “Romanian Retail Convention” is also the rate of non-occupation for commercial centers. This rate is on a descending trend both in Bucharest and in other Romanian towns, influenced by the lack of developers and retailer’s need to expand, as a DTZ Echinox study shows.

On the other hand, e-commerce B2C market is expanding fast, with the international growth estimated to an annually 17% by 2018.

The mobile digital tech’s progress lead to a syncronization for the consumption markets all over the world, translated into an increased competition beyond borders
