Starting May, Bogdan Ionita is the new strategy director at Lowe Romania and is in charge with coordinating the research, planning and stratey teams, covering all communication (traditional, digital, BTL and experiential). Since taking over, he already worked on campaign for clients like Gothaer, Johnson&Johnson, Scandia Food, Unilever, Veka or Zizin and contributed to winning new clients like AFI Palace Malls or SKOL.
When I started in advertising, the first exercise I made was to play with a chair, trying to find another way to look at it. I believe in perspective, in people’s capacity to turn a problem on all sides. This is an exercise that shows how good campaigns manage to find solutions for problems that seem impossible or find their solutions in clichees. In planning, the need to find new perspective is a primordial one; one must understand consumers in the tiniest details in order to find that insight. Equally, I believe in the tactic of small steps. You cannot aim to realize over night some brand objectives achievable in a year, but you can aim to be better every day. When you manage to combine the 2 philosophies, you have a big part from a recipe for success, and I found at Lowe people who share those convictions
Ionita worked in local and multinational agencies, for brands from different industries like telecom, beer, chocolate, energy drinks, bakery, banking or tobacco.
Ionita is a combination I appreciate between courage, desire for innovation, meticulosity and hyper-analytic and hyper-rational thinking. I was also impressed by his friendship with mathematical universe and his interest for poker. Moreover, he thinks and lives in Lowe team’s spirit, which is very important for us. Ionita’s appointment comes shortly after Vasile Alboiu became Chief Creative Officer (CCO) of Lowe Group, a position that sees him coordinating the activity of all group’s creative teams. The formula managed by Alboiu insures a complete perspective, covering traditional creation, digital, PR and BTL, into a contemporary creative product.
Present in Romania for 22 years, Lowe is member of the group of companies who also includes Initiative, BPN, Golin, SENIORHYPER, Mobile Works and Medic One.
