Golden Drum starts tomorrow. Romania:132 entries &18 agencies

Romania goes to Golden Drum with 132 entries submitted by a total of 18 agencies. The organizers provided the names of the agencies and the total number of entries. Unfortunately, their policy is different from other worldwide advertising festival and the request for the list of actual entries was denied on the grounds that “the information regarding which entries were submitted by which agency are not public as it could influence the judging process (judges judge entries without any credits visible as to prevent possible decisions based on entrant company)”.

According to the provided data, McCann Group Romania submitted a total of 57 works at this year’s Golden Drum, with McCann Erickson entering 35 and MRM / McCann – 22.

Publicis Groupe agencies in Romania submitted a total of 22 works in Golden Drum. This way, Saatchi & Saatchi is present in the festival with 1 entry, same as Starcom Mediavest, Publicis Romania submitted 8 entries and Leo Burnett competes with 12 works.

GMP Advertising has 15 entries in the competition, while Geometry Global has 14, FCB Bucharest goes to Portoroz with 8 entries, Jazz entered 4, Kubis – 3, Propaganda and Mercury360 participate each with 2 entries, while the agencies competing with just 1 entry are Next Advertising, Hariga Advertising,  Rogalski Damaschin, Rusu+Bortun Brand Growers, Three Creative Revolution.

The 22nd edition of Golden Drum kicks off tomorrow and takes place between October 13-16 at Grand Hotel Bernardin, in Portoroz (Slovenia). During the 4 days of festival, there will be over 40 speakers, good networking opportunities and parties.

This year’s edition of the festival takes place under the tagline “Transformation, liberation and creative culture”, and reunites the best in advertising from 37 countries of New Europe.

The list of speakers includes this year, among others:

This year’s Golden Drum Competition has attracted 1208 entries from 25 countries, 255 agencies and 26 different agency networks, all competing for the grand prize: the Golden Net Award. Two “Heavy Metal Juries”, whose 22 members have together won over 120 Cannes Lions Awards, will be led by two authorities of creative industry, Chave D’Emilio, Creative Director, McCann Worldgroup Latin America and the Caribbean, President and Chief Creative Officer, McCann Buenos Aires, Argentina, ikon of South American advertising, and Geoffrey Hantson, Chief Creative Officer, Co-founder, Happiness, Belgium, that Business Insider named ‘one of the 25 most creative people in advertising’ (globally).
