GfK launched GfK Research Lab in Romanian city Iasi

GfK, leader in research and marketing consultancy on Romanian market, launched, in Iasi, the first development program dedicated to the future specialists in the field, GfK Research Lab. The program consists in a month of seminaries and intensive trainings on personal development and on specific instruments for marketing research, starting from conceiving solutions for data collection, data handling and statistic analysis, along with conceiving relevant reports to answer the specific business needs of GfK’s clients. The main partners are The Value School and Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Iasi.

We aim to show the young graduates what it means to work in a dynamic organization, together with passionate people, and how they can combine knowledge and abilities achieved during university with the needed competences for a career within a multinational company

If graduates attending the program consider, at the end, that a career in marketing research is suited for them, GfK offers them job opportunities, internships or scholarships within the company, depending how ready they are to make an important step in their career.

The first series of GfK Research Lab will have 100 participants, from which 60 attending the Processing module, 20 – Scripting and 20 – Charting. For half of graduates, GfK prepared career opportunities for undefined period of time, for some interns – scholarships and also the possibility to attend open days within the company.

The program is supported by GfK Global Service Center Iasi, one of the two global operations centers owned by GfK Group in Europe. GfK Global Service Center serves the 100 countries where GfK is present at global level and is active mainly in processing data for the companies part of the group. The center in Iasi was open in 2004, functioning as call center for NOP World Italia. In 2005, after NOP World’s acquisition by  GfK Group, the center in Iasi became part of the group and, in 2012, it was absorbed by GfK Romania. It is global operations center since January 2014.
