During the 5th annual Telus Days of Giving in Romania, 350 Telus International team members volunteered their hearts and hands with Hospices of Hope to transform an old building into a state-of-the-art educational center, a TECH House that will provide the latest technology (virtual reality, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence) to enable therapy for children suffering from a life-limiting illness. Through the €80,000 renovation project, funded by Telus International, the team also built a new home for the caretakers of the property, located in Adunatii-Copaceni, near Bucharest.
In Romania, over 5,000 children are currently suffering from a life-limiting condition. In response to the needs of these children and their families, Telus International has partnered with Hospices of Hope, the leading palliative care charity in Southern East Europe to help make a true difference

Last year, 350 Telus International team members made Hospices of Hope history with the largest volunteer event in our 25 years of existence when they transformed this site by renovating homes for families with sick children, planting hundreds of trees, and installing a playground. The team is back again this year to enhance the project by renovating a high-tech center for specialized treatment and building a new home for people in need

Once complete, this ground-breaking facility will provide care and housing to 400 children and offer camp programs to 300 children every year.
