After almost a quarter of century in Romanian media, Cristi Dimitriu decides to switch to PR

After a 24 years career in press / media, Cristi Dimitriu decided it is time for a change and took over the helm as Head of Corporate at Romanian GMP PR. In his new position, he will coordinate the communication team and has the mission to develop agency’s corporate business. Therefor, he aims to initiate new services for clients, find new areas for business expansion and launch ideas for competencies promotions campaigns.

Commenting on the new addition to her agency’s team, Ioana Manoiu, Managing Partner GMP PR, said:

Corporate department is a key expertise within the agency and, with the joining of Cristi Dimitriu, it enters in a new era. We intent to focus more on the area of strategic consultancy and stakeholders’ engagement, where Cristi’s experience of over 20 years in journalism and media management will make the difference 

Cristi Dimitriu started working in press in 1993, as political reporter at Ora Newspaper, switched to Mediafax News Agency in 1994 and there he was reporter, chief political news department, deputy editor in chief, editor in chief and general manager. Afterwards, he was editorial director at Mediafax Group and, last year, together with a team from Mediafax, founded the news agency, where he was general manager until September 2017
