Bogdan Costin is the new Creative Director at Romanian Saatchi & Saatchi + The Geeks and takes over the creative reins with the mission to coordinate and supervise creatively agency’s campaigns. Bogdan has over 20 years of experience in advertising and, over time, he worked for a broad spectrum of clients, covering sectors from beverages to banking or auto. He was the copywriter of the year in Romania in 2013 and has in his portfolio several national and international awards.

In the process to develop and integrate the services and cultures from Saatchi & Saatchi and The Geeks, under the common umbrella of a full service agency with a strong digital DNA, an important role is the one of the person responsible for agency’s creative product. Bogdan has a 100% match with our philosophy and culture, the correct criteria and background within the industry. Bogdan says he came back in the group headquartered on 13th Iorga street in Bucharest “knowing where and why he returns. I knew already many of the colleagues from Saatchi&Saatchi + The Geeks and already had a good opinion but, more then that, I came back because I felt I match agency’s culture. And among my geek attribution is to preserve and perpetuate”.

“This is about ideas and creative dares, always doubled by that rational part that makes them be relevant too. To first do your job the best for your clients and then to collect the benefits, like awards, and not the other way around. About making a name on the market with good and consistent work. And all this in a cool and relaxing atmosphere. But that’s what advertising is supposed to be about, right?”, Bogdan added.  

Bogdan Costin started his career in 1999, as junior copywriter at Romanian Vitrina agency (Cluj) and moved to Bucharest in 2003, working over the time for known names in Romanian advertising: D’Arcy, BBDO, Leo Burnett, 23 Communication Ideas, Tempo, Geometry Global. He received accolades at Effie, ADC Awards, Golden Drum and other national and international festivals. Voted the copywriter of the year in 2013, he is a member of ADC Romania (Art Director’s Club) since 2014. He published 2 books and wrote theater plays that brought him twice the big prize at the Romanian Comedy Festival (2007, 2011)
